Edward Kobina Komfo , is a Ghanaian - Nigerian rapper ,songwriter and music producer. The music of YBthewildyouth can be described as a blend of calm and chaotic elements featuring deliberate warm and nuanced vocal performances accompanied by smooth , catchy melodies layered over both tranquil and occasionally aggressive instrumentation.

His unique sound draws from a diverse range of alternative genres like hip hop ,rock , reggae and Afropop. The name "YB" has been a nickname for him since childhood, emerging when his neighborhood first recognized his artistic potential at the age of fourteen. His debut rap song, "Hit Em Up," showcased his powerful and confident vocals, earning him the nickname "YUNGBOSS," or simply YB.

His talent quickly gained traction, with his song "Wosa" being featured on the popular television show Big Brother Africa 2012, solidifying his reputation as a rising star on the neighborhood block.

Edward has lived all his life in Nigeria, facing the numerous insurmountable challenges faced by youths in the country, and the fight to resist a failed dysfunctional system. The term "wild youth" encapsulates individuals who actively seek their own truths and unwavering in pursuit of their dreams.

Edward is also making waves as a music producer under the alias "wildXyouth" he has made considerable in roads as a producer in the industry, producing the track "Local and Bougie" for Timaya's album “Gratitude”

His recent achievements include a sync placement in Marvel's Disney tv series She-Hulk as the producer of the song “Before You Go” by Canadian singer Sarah May. and serving as the lead producer on Ric Hassani's Afro-love album, where he produced four tracks including the lead single “Ngozi” and additional production on several others.
