Kate Lomas
This is London-based singer-songwriter-producer Kate Lomas. Dreaming about the wild side of life through her infectious dream-pop anthems, Kate wants us all to party to her own brand of sad-dancing pop music.
Having commanded playlist support from BBC Radio 1 alongside regular features on BBC Introducing and a national TV appearance at Abbey Road Studios, broadcast on BBC 2, Kate Lomas is carving her own niche with her distinctively British self-produced indie-pop bangers.
2019 saw Kate release her sparkling dream-pop single “Happy Like This” - an anthem for letting go of your past and embracing your imperfections. The single featured on Spotify’s New Pop Revolution playlist with the vibrant music video landing on the BT TV playlist.
Alongside the success of her single release, Kate stormed performances at UK wide festivals, notably making her Glastonbury debut shortly after her two appearances at the Great Escape Festival.
Another step for Kate was her debut TV appearance; performing for guests on BBC 2’s prime time TV show Great British Menu. The show featured a live performance at the iconic Abbey Road Studios, with Kate performing her 2018 single ‘Drink 2 U’ - the song which established her status as one to watch for the future, racking up over 3.6 million streams on Spotify.
2019 ended in style for Lomas, sealing the year with a headline show at The Grace in London which saw her “bouncing off the walls with energy and charm” (Independent Music and Arts Inc.)
The new year promises a lot for Kate - a new single is scheduled for release in the coming months with an EP to follow later in the year. She’ll also be taking the stage at the HIDDEN HERD festival in Brighton on Saturday 21st March.
